There’s a new kid on campus! Wish You Were Beer is now officially open in their new 2,773 square foot space in the Student Union building. Are you looking for someplace to come and try some new brews with your friends? Not a problem! There are 40 taps (yes, 40!), bar seating, tables to accommodate your crew, and patio space. The bar surface is made of resurfaced gym flooring, continuing the trend found in Straight to Ale and Lone Goose. We wonder if it brings back any memories for owner Damon- he is a Stone Middle School alumnus! How great is it that we get to repurpose parts of the original school? Once the Campus entertainment district is finalized, you’ll also be able to use the walk-up window to order a beer to go!
Or were you hoping to bring something home to enjoy? Wish You Were Beer has a huge collection of bottled and canned beers, ciders, and meades. You’ll be sure to find something you want to try! The staff is incredibly knowledgable, too, so don’t be afraid to ask them for recommendations. If you try something from the taps that you like, you can even take it home in a growler. Coming in to stock up? There are shopping baskets and carts you can use!
