Lone Goose Saloon, one of Huntsville’s most popular bar and music venues, announced today that it will be moving to the new Campus No. 805 development in West Huntsville.
With the announcement, Lone Goose Saloon joins Yellowhammer Brewing, Straight to Ale Brewing, and the Sweet Liberty brew shop at the new Campus No. 805 development.
Campus No. 805 is a 13-acre mixed-use development project located at the former Roy L. Stone Middle School near the intersection of Triana Boulevard, Clinton Avenue and Governors Drive in West Huntsville. The development will also feature a public recreational lawn, and a wide range of mixed-use elements expected to include restaurants, retail shops, and special event venues.
Lone Goose Saloon’s owners, Margaret Van Dyke Poole and Danny George, said they’re excited about the possibilities for the Campus No. 805 development and the West Huntsville neighborhood.
Poole said, “My roots are in the downtown area and Danny’s are in West Huntsville. We believe Lone Goose really helped downtown’s revitalization and we think it will help do the same thing now for West Huntsville. We’re just really excited about being a part of the Campus No. 805 development.”
Randall Schrimsher, Campus No. 805’s developer, said, “We’re excited to welcome Lone Goose Saloon to Campus No. 805. Lone Goose has done a remarkable job becoming one of our area’s premier venues for live, local music and entertainment.
“We believe they are a perfect fit for Campus No. 805 and we’re looking forward to having them on Campus.”
Lone Goose Saloon plans to open its Campus No. 805 location this winter. The bar’s current location is expected to remain open until later in the spring. Lone Goose Saloon will occupy the front, west corner of the former Roy L. Stone Middle School.
With the addition of Lone Goose Saloon, less than 4,500 square feet remains available for lease in Campus No. 805’s main facility.
