Hops N Guac is the newest dine, drink and play option at Huntsville’s #1 entertainment venue in downtown Huntsville, Campus No. 805. Featuring authentic Mexican cuisine, drink-ordering technology, and family-friendly games, Hops N Guac is stepping to the head of the class with the July 31 grand opening of its new restaurant in the Stone Center.

“Huntsville has great food and wonderful restaurants, however, most Mexican restaurants in the area serve either ‘Tex-Mex’ or Mexican street food,” says Blake Harper, Hops N Guac CEO. “We are one of the first Mexican restaurants offering cuisine inspired by traditional Mexican chefs.”

This authentic menu includes citrus ceviche, tamale bites and albondigas paired with fan favorites like queso and guacamole.

But the menu is not the only unique aspect of this new Campus addition.

“Hops N Guac is a brand new fast-casual concept and
Alabama’s first self-serve taproom
with over 50 taps of Craft Beer and Wine.”

“Our original inspiration for the restaurant was this new self-pour technology we discovered in Nashville,” says Harper. “This technology allows guests direct access to a 50-tap system equipped with beers, a full variety of wines and even kombucha. Each guest receives a wristband linked to their payment information and they cash out at the end of the night, paying only for the ounces they drank.”

Hops N Guac has also incorporating backyard style games into its menu of food and fun. Shuffleboard, giant connect four, a scrabble wall, giant ping pong and a Snook Ball court are all available for patrons to enjoy.

“Hops N Guac is the perfect fit for our Campus, offering a great mix of delicious food, a wide selection of craft beers and specialty drinks, and plenty of fun and games for family and friends,” said Joyce Skinner, Schrimsher Company property manager.

Located in the Stone Center building, 2620 Clinton Avenue West, Hops N Guac is located on the west end of the building in the former school library, which has been renovated to include a private outdoor patio.
