Huntsville is hosting the 2017 Travel Blog Exchange (TBEX) Conference in May, and Campus No. 805 is thrilled to throw the closing party on May 6th! For conference attendees who may not be familiar with Campus No. 805, we want to give you a little taste of what you’ll find on campus during your stay.

1. The South’s premier brewery and entertainment venue

Campus No. 805 is home to two breweries, a bar, four restaurants, an arcade, a craft beer store, entertainment rental space, and much more! We are located in the resurging West Huntsville, near Lowe Mill and the downtown area. From live music, to food truck rallies, to festivals, there is always something happening on campus.

2. Beer!

As the largest destination for breweries in the state of Alabama, we are proud to see how much the craft brewing scene has grown in Huntsville. Two of Alabama’s largest breweries, Straight to Ale and Yellowhammer, make Campus No. 805 home. You can expect to find a huge selection of beers at both our breweries, as well as at the craft beer store Wish You Were Beer. If liquor is more your style, the Lone Goose bar and Shelta Cavern Spirits at Straight to Ale have you covered. Insider tip: ask for the Schoolhouse Shot at Lone Goose- you won’t be disappointed! Plus, the whole Campus No. 805 area is Huntsville’s newest entertainment district, meaning you can take your adult beverage out on the S.R. Butler Green for some fresh air, or even up to Spirited Art on the second floor for an art session.

3. School-themed decor

Campus No. 805 started its life as S. R. Butler High School in 1951. Then from 1967 to 2009, the space was used as the Stone Middle School. We’ve tried to keep many of the elements of the school’s rich history. See if you can find the original gym bleacher graffiti in Straight to Ale or the repurposed gym floor in Lone Goose. Those bright orange lockers may even hold a few secrets…

4. Delicious food

There are four stellar food options on Campus, each with their own personal flair. Bubba’s Silver Spoon Catering is known throughout the area for their spectacular event menus, as well as being featured in both Southern Living and I Do magazines. From poutine to kimche pork tacos to a classic American burger, look no further than Ale’s Kitchen, which serves up pub grub with an international flare. Many of their sauces are made with Straight to Ale beers, too! One of the best foods to pair with beer is pizza, and some of the best pizza around is Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza. Award-winning and seemingly a hit on the TBEX preview tours, Earth and Stone is definitely worth checking out. Sometimes, though, you just crave sushi. Don’t worry, Rock ‘n’ Roll Sushi has you covered! Rock ‘n’ Roll Sushi serves up sashimi, rolls, Boom Boom Shrimp, and more, all with a hard rock edge.

5. A real cross-section of Huntsville

We at Campus No. 805 love seeing different factions of the Huntsville population. During your visit to campus, you’ll likely see business men relaxing after a long week, young professionals networking, families dining out with the kids, gamers playing pinball, homebrewers picking up supplies, music buffs catching a live show, and so much more. There’s something for everyone at Campus No. 805, and we can’t wait for you to discover our venue!

We are so excited to host the closing party for TBEX, and we’ll see you on Campus soon!
